I figured I’d give my own half assed review on this concert because I have nothing else to do ^^ But please let it be known, this isn’t that serious post of ’substance’ that I mentioned writing. That’s on a very serious topic…kinda…

I watched this the other night with Shirow. Well, we were both watching it in sync at our respective homes, and chatting about it at the same time through MSN. My overall opinion on the concert is although it didn’t suck completely, the Winter concerts are always better. This one was just, well…mediocre.

Right, I’ll go all out and do this song by song, with one small screen cap per song and I’m going to miss out MC’s. Why?
♪ because I want to, because I want to!

01. Natsu LOVE Romance – All

Opening song…lip synced…SUCKS!!! I suppose it goes with the Summer theme but nah, I didn’t like it at all.

♥ They got tennis racquets and sponge balls out at the end, which they hit in to the audience before the start of the next song. I would’ve loved to have been there and caught a ball but I wasn’t *sob sob* So instead I wish that they had actual tennis balls to hit or, that one of the girls accidentally let go of her racquet, and it smacked some Wota upside the head ^^

02. Manatsu no Kousen – All

This song is also lip synced, which in itself isn’t a big issue (as most songs will no doubt be done this way). It just is an issue when it’s REALLY obvious that it’s not sung live. Risa has the lead in this song, along with Ai and Reina, but I’ve never liked it, so not even that fact alone can help it. Sorry…

♥ They do a great body roll / thrust type thing during the breakdown, but I can’t get a good screen cap of it because of the movement. I will admit that the breakdown as a whole is pretty darn good in this song.

03. Edo no Temari Uta II – ºC-ute

This was performed really well, I enjoyed it a lot. The dance breakdowns are great, although I felt sorry for Chisato and Mai Mai at one point because Kanna and Airi we’re blocking them. Why put the small ones at the back, that’s what I wanna know?

♥ Both Kanna’s and Airi’s hat things remind me of those American gubbin’s that you put ice in. Anyone know what I’m on about?

04. Namida no Iro – ºC-ute

I feel that some of the dancing in this song is a bit too ‘fast’ for it in places, but none the less, it’s an okay song. I’ve decided that out of all the outfits I like Chisato’s the most. It’s like some Loli Peter Pan outfit with a random string ball thing thrown in for good measure. Fantastic!!!

♥ I still protest that Maimi dances like Ogawa Makoto speaks English

05. Papancake – Kusumi Koharu starring Tsukishima Kirari

Loves it! Koharu always amuses me with her spazzyness, and she didn’t fail here. Fantastic performance, even if it’s not sung live. Although I don’t think she’s ever sung one of her own songs live – I may be wrong though.

♥ I like the fact that Koharu didn’t cam whore until right at the end of the song. I think she wants to give it all to the fans that are in the stadium, and even though I like it when they whore it up, I do believe that the people there come first. Knocks her up one notch in my estimations!

06. Anataboshi – Milky Way

Tambourines yay~yay!!! Along with Koharu, Sayaka and Yuu do a great job (I’m not sure if this is their first time in front of a large audience, as more than just Eggs) The choreography of this song is brilliant and it looks amazing performed on a stage. I hope they do this one again!

♥ If I was there, I’d be joining in with my tambourine!

07. Ike Ike Monkey Dance – Berryz Kobo

‘Berryz Kobo ikkimasu!’ ~ I love it when Captain shouts that when she comes out. It’s not the first time she has either. I have one problem with this, and it’s an outfit problem – I don’t like the stockings as they make me think of whores!!! Momo always puts 110% in to everything and this was no exception, she really does pretend to be a Monkey ^^ Risako sounds amazing, as does Miyabi. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs of the concert.

♥ Miyabi really gets in to the dance at one point too. Made me go all giddy lols

08. Jingisukan – Berryz Kobou with Hello! Pro Eggs

The Eggs came out to join in with this one, although Berryz don’t really need their help. Great song, although I think I’m slightly starting to tire with it. Possibly because of all the releases it’s had. They did an exceptional job though *thumbs up*

09. Resonant Blue – Morning Musume

Outfits suck!!! Both C-ute and Berryz were wearing the outfits featured in their respective PV’s, so where are Morning Musume’s Resonant Blue outfits? I’d much rather have them then these monstrosities!!! Watching this has made me believe that Risa is getting something from somewhere! *wink wink* Either that or she’s just decided to push herself in her dancing. Obviously I’d prefer to know it’s the second one, but I’m not gonna discount my first thoughts either…

♥ Risa and Eri always manage to kill me when I see them in this song. They love it…whores!

10. Mikan – Morning Musume

First things first… LIFE IS ONE TIME!!! I know I’m lame but I do enjoy this song. Morning Musume always seem to enjoy themselves whilst performing it, which makes me smile like an idiot. Eri looks amazingly smexy in some shots *dead* Nothing special overall though, an average song with an average performance.

11. KoiING – Takahashi Ai & some Eggs

I personally don’t think this song should be sung solo, even by Ai-chan. I know that Ai is an amazing singer, but this song was lacking something. Which is sad because her solo of Osaka Koi no Uta on the Rainbow 7 tour is my favourite solo performance of any song, by any member of H!P, ever!!! Another thing…why are the Eggs there? Their existence contributed nothing at all…

♥ Shirow Quote – ‘Look at her earrings…fucking huge!‘

12. Hajimete Kuchibiru wo Kasaneta Yoru – Airi, LinLin, Ogawa Saki

What a fucking performance!!! I don’t know the song, but I know damn well that I’m gonna rip this so I can listen to it on my iPod. Ogawa Saki seems very promising, just like Airi when she was young. Lin Lin has an amazing voice, which should make one critic on H!O eat his words (not likely though), and Airi is a prodigy. If you haven’t seen or downloaded the concert, I recommend you look this one up on You Tube or Veoh. Definitely not to be missed!

13. Chu! Natsu Party – Sayumi, Risako

Sayumi and Risako did a great job of Robo Kiss last year, so I was happy to see them join up again and do this song. I think they get on so well together, most likely because Sayumi loves herself and Risako’s a little whore. This performance is great for making your mood better as you can’t help but smile at the faces they make. And the dresses…the butt of them make them look like baby chicks :3

♥ If Rika’s no longer in H!P, I want Risako to team up with Sayumi and continue EcoMoni!

14. C\C (Cinderella\Complex) – High-King

This is the song I was most looking forward too out of them all and I was surprised when it was sung in it’s entirety. The only time I’ve seen it performed live ( Cinderella Musical), they shortened it which was highly annoying. Sadly, I feel that Ai-chan’s singing was a little ‘off’ in places. Actually she was off for most of the song. Not just with her singing, but dancing as well, which is not like her at all. Maybe she was having a bad night, or her heart was just not in to it. Other than that, it was pretty darn good. I did like how they used the red lighting, gave it ‘atmosphere’…or something…

♥ Ai-chan’s High King boots are majorly faptastic. Why didn’t she wear them in the PV??? *drool*

15. Kioku no Meiro – High-King

Again, Ai-chan’s singing was off, and it’s quite noticeable towards the end. Yeah, I know that people can have off days, but this is Ai! She excels at both singing and dancing…all the God damn time! This was an enjoyable song though. Maeda Yuki did a good job, as did Captain and Maimi. I like the dancing near the end of the song, makes it a bit more memorable / crazy! Well, it was a bit crazy to me, I was all ‘huh?’

♥ Maeda’s really sweet in the MC after this song. She kinda spaces out at one point and doesn’t quite realise that Makoto is speaking to her. Bless :3

16. Mano Piano – Mano Erina

I actually thought I was gonna fall asleep during this song. I listened to maybe 30 seconds of it when it was released, and I still feel the same way about it now. Shit!

♥ Maybe this is a bit harsh, but I can’t help it. I’ve tried and tried to think of something nice to say about it, but I can’t think of anything. Sorry.

17. Tokunatsu Musume – Risa, Eri, Aika

Because Risa’s there, some would argue that I should like this song…but I don’t. I like Eri being out there with her, but Aika should just GTFO. The outfits, other than the boots, are gaudy and the songs rubbish. But one thing I do love is Risa’s deep voice *growl*

♥ The bloomers under their dresses made me laugh. Especially as you saw a LOT of them!

18. Tropica~l Koishite~ru – JunJun, Chisato, Kanna, Mai Mai, Yurina, Maasa + a bunch of Eggs

Do I have to subject myself to this again? It’s nice to see Jun Jun take the lead on a song, but with members of Berryz and C-ute there, she didn’t really own it all. One word…forgettable.

19. Kousui – Reina, Erika, Captain, Chinami, Saki

Reina’s is the lead on this song, whilst the rest of them support her with Ahh’s, Oooh’s, and some really dodgy rapping (o_O) I will admit, Reina sang this song really, really well. It’s just as a whole, it does nothing for me. Watch this one for the rap part alone, you’ll be going WTF?!

20. Gachinko de Ikou! – Buono!

Whore stockings again lols! This is more like it though, Buono! = WIN! These three gel so well, I think that’s why they’re so great. That and the fact that all their songs so far have been fantastic, as in my opinion none of them fail. As you can expect from Buono!, this performance had great choreography, which fits the image and the girls perfectly.

♥ Maybe it’s just because I’m a perv, but Miyabi’s and Airi’s shorts could’ve done with being a bit shorter. Short shorts FTW!

21. KISS KISS KISS – Buono!

More Buono! is definitely a plus, so to me this is great. The little comedic moments in this song are fantastic – like when Miyabi pushes Momo with her butt, and where Airi and Momo ‘fall asleep’ on Miyabi’s shoulders. Loved it ♥

♥ Are these the best outfits of the whole concert. Yes…I believe they are!

22. Egao YES Nude – Morning Musume

This song seems to be becoming a stable Morning Musume concert song. Although I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. At least Ai-chan got her ‘voice’ back for this. I will admit that I quite like the ahhhh’s and ooooh’s in this song, plus the dance is great. This was a good performance, they all did really well.

23. Massara Blue Jeans – ºC-ute, Berryz Kobo

My favourite C-ute song EVER! I liked how Berryz Kobo performed this with them, although I would’ve loved it more if Morning Musume stayed out on stage too *imagines Risa doing the hip thrusts…drool* The dance to this song never fails to impress me, it’s that good.

♥ You can’t deny the power of Miyabi and Risako hip thrusts. Well…I can’t!

24. Special Generation – ºC-ute, Berryz Kobo

From my favourite C-ute song, to my favourite Berryz song. How can I not be happy with that?! Again, I would’ve liked Morning Musume to still be on stage with them (MM Special Gen train anyone?) I expect a lot of people think that this song is over played, but if it wasn’t in the concert then I would’ve been disappointed. You cannot go wrong with this!

25.　Love&Peace! HERO ga Yattekita. – All

I’ve loved this song ever since I saw it on the Odore! Morning Curry Tour, so it was great seeing it performed by everyone. Although I’m not sure if this is the first time that’s happened or not. Eri’s voice seems to be getting so much better recently, and she did not fail to impress here. I was a bit disappointed that Reina sang Sayumi’s line before Eri’s, because I like the idea of KameShige rather than TanaKame lols. My only complaint is that everyone was out on the stage (Eggs as well) and it kinda looked a bit crowded.

26. Ame no Furai Hoshi de wa Ai Senai Darou – All

This is the song that caused a storm over at H!O, with people saying that it should’ve been the single instead of Pepper Keibu (blasphemy). I’m not going to say much about it, but Lin Lin does sound absolutely amazing. Jun Jun too. I’m glad that these two are making their presence known and are contributing something to the group. I sadly can’t say the same about their fellow 8th Gen member. Even though there is already a ‘leaked’ version sung just by Morning Musume, I don’t think this song will sound as good without a large amount of people singing it.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading that. It took me a very long time to get screen caps and write it all up. And even though I’ve gone over what I’ve written soooo many times, I’m still not 100% happy with it – so expect changes. If you haven’t seen this concert yet, I would recommend that you do, but only because I feel that people shouldn’t miss out on anything Hello! Project. Plus…I subjected myself to it, so it’s only fair that others put themselves through it too!!!

Okay, I never actually said it was a competition, but I kinda need an excuse to post Ai’s butt! Sometimes I will do something without reason, but I didn’t think I could with this ^^

Pepper Keibu – Making Of

Big props to gordoカバ over at H!O for uploading the Pepper Keibu Single V in ISO format. I’m experiencing shite download speeds at the minute so it took me a while to get this, but I’m so glad I did. The Making Of of this single has to be, in my opinion, the most entertaining one I’ve seen. (although I haven’t watched many ‘making ofs’ before Aruiteru. So my opinion might be some what flawed ^^)

What I can say though is Jun Jun is freaking hilarious every time she is on screen. If I didn’t like her enough already, then I freaking love her now. As I said to Shirow, she reminds me of Massa from Berryz Kobo, which is not a bad thing at all. Lin Lin makes me laugh as well! I didn’t like her for ages, but lately she’s made a huge impression on me and I’m starting to enjoy seeing her on screen. Unfortunately though, Ai doesn’t really play a big part in this at all *sigh* but I think that’s just her being all leader-y.

As I suck at talking about stuff for more than 1 minute, I’m just gonna do my normal thing and post loads of screen caps ^^ I will try to caption all of them if I can come up with anything smart to say. But…enjoy :D

Risa’s Birthday Post 2 – What Happened Was…

This is where I post about what I did / how I celebrated Risa’s 20th birthday and this is gonna take a looooooooooooooooong time ^^

At the moment the UK is 8 hours behind Japan, so Risa’s birthday technically started at 4pm on Sunday 19th October British time. Which, as I decided we’d celebrate right up to 23:59pm 20th October British time, gave myself and Shirow 31 hours and 59 minutes of ‘celebration’ time, minus the hours that we needed to sleep. I think we went to sleep at about 2am on the 20th and got up at roughly 11am (on the 20th), so we lost 9 hours overal. Not bad considering I sleep like Eri (as much as I can)! With my amazing mathematical skills I calculate that as 22 hours and 59 minutes of valuable ‘I Love You Gaki’ birthday time!!!

Just a bit of backstory before I plough through this. Earlier on in the day (Sunday) the pair of us went to Camden Town to have a look around Camden Market. Totally surreal experience for me, I’ve never liked markets – even when I was young – and I didn’t really like this place. However I did buy myself a new pair of trainers which were Risa inspired, and a lovey (read: nasty) green tie from a market stand. These two things come in to effect on the Monday. But as a point of interest, we were walking around on the Sunday in Hello! Project t-shirts. Shirow was wearing his Berryz Kobo ‘Uh! Ha!’ t-shirt, and I was wearing my Risa Single Daizenshuu~ t-shirt AND Risa Cinderella wrist band ^^ I stood out like nobody’s business *sweatdrop*

my new trainers – they are exactly the same colour as my Risa Cinderella wristband. Like a lime green. Tasty!

Sunday 19th October

Well then…At 4:00pm on the 19th October, myself and Shirow were wandering through Lambeth North which is on the Bakerloo Line (yep – I’m a freaking walking Tube map after this holiday). So not long after I went ‘OMG! It’s 4pm – Midnight in Japan – HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAKI-SAN’ the pair of us rocked up to the nearest pub and enjoyed one drink each. Yes, just one. Why one? Well…it’s all because Shirow paid £9.00 for a pint of Fosters and a single Malibu & Lemonade!!! LONDON IS EXTORTIONATE!!!

After that we made our way to the - Imperial War Museum. Yeah…we know how to live it up! We didn’t spend long in there at all (need to go back), but I did manage to do a Mayuge Beam in honour of Risa, in front of a statue of a WWII soldier. Don’t believe me and wanna picture? Well tough shit you aint getting one, purely because I look like crap in it :3

After leaving the Museum we made our way back to Piccadilly Circus, wandered to the Chinese shop to buy 10 bottles of cheap beer (98p FTW!), then decided to have dinner in a rediculously expensive Indian restaurant. Actually the food was well priced, but my can of Coke cost me £2.50 \o/ and they stuck a 10% service charge on, even though the service was awful. Bastards!!! After that we went back to the scummy hostel and watched Risa and Ai’s Ura Uta Doki’s and the Berryz Kamen vs. C-utie Ranger concert…again! Went to bed around 2am (like I said earlier).

Monday 20th October

We got up later then we wanted to, but made up for it by having a full day ^^ Today was ‘Suit Day Part 2′ but as I didn’t have an actual suit, I had to wear the nearest thing I had. So cue me in:

White Shirt
Black Trousers
Black Waistoat
Black Pin Striped Velvet-y Jacket
New Black and Green Trainers
Sexy Lime Green Tie

I’m sure people were wondering what the hell was going on, but it was Risa’s birthday and I wanted to show my fandom in a ‘posh’ way. Thus I ignored all the looks my tie was generating LOLS.

After skipping breakfast because we got up later than normal, we made our way to Sloane Square in Chelsea (Circle Line), to look around the National Army Museum. Took us forever to locate the freaking place, so on the way we stopped for a Subway off doom!!! I opted for a ‘foot long’ Tuna, Cheese and Mayo toasted sub with a Coke. Man…even though we skipped breakfast, I had to force the whole thing down my throat. Shirow on the other hand could not eat all of his – FAIL!!!

When we got to the museum (eventually), it was pretty goddamn boring / shit. We didn’t realise that we couldn’t take photos in there, but Shirow got a pretty good one of me saluting next to a soldier model ^^ Whilst I was trying to take a photo of a bottle of ‘Bum Cola’ (coke cola from some foreign country) a Security Guard came up and told me not to take photos. Bastard! So I can’t share that one, only argue that it did say Bum Cola on the label. Yeah…I find the silliest of things funny >_<

After leaving the museum, we then went to Kinghtsbridge, to take a stroll around Harrods…again. Didn’t buy anything in there, just went to sign the Princess Diana memorial book and lol at the Diana and Dodi statue XD

After looking around the over priced posh crap, we headed out and along to Bond Street (Central & Jubilee Lines) hoping to find Tiffany’s the Jewellers. Because we didn’t have a map book on us at the time so we decided ‘fuck it’ and wandered down Oxford Street instead. Went in to the other big department store – Selfridges, where we looked at anything and everything. Didn’t buy anything though. Then if I remember rightly, we walked along Regents Street back to Piccadilly Circus, then went to Yo! Sushi for dinner.

In Yo! Sushi I ate alot but not alot, if that makes sense. I had 2 bowls of Miso soup, Chicken Yakitori, Chicken Katsu and Tamago Nigiri, washed down with water and NOT Asahi. OMG SHOCK HORROR!!! Was funny in there because they had wooden chopsticks for retards, so I used them! LMAO!

Whilst we were sat in the restaurant God Tsunku decided to smite us for the persistant Aika bashing, and it started pissing it down. So when we left we went back to our shitty hostel, so we could get coats and I could get my hat. Then we went round to Chinatown and bought 2 Chicken Buns and then went to the Japanese Shop to buy some cans of Asahi and Sapporo (Shirows).

Then we just plonked ourselves on my bunk in our room, ate Japanese snacks along with Korean Pocky type things, drank Japanese & Chinese beer and watched the Singles Daizenshuu~ Concert (again), making remarks about Aika the whole time LOLS. We went to sleep about 2am again, knowing that the next day we’d be going home *sob sob* I’m really happy though because not only did I get to celebrate my favourite Idols birthday in an amazing (yet expensive) city, I got to celebrate it with a really good friend who appreciates H!P / Idols as much as I do.

Risa’s Birthday Post 1

I thought I’d actually do two posts for her birthday. One about what I did on the actual day, and this one which is to be filled with cap-tastic goodness *thumbs up*

So we should all be able to tell by now, that I’m a 100% certified Niigaki Risa, female gaijin wota! If you haven’t already worked that out then…YOU SORT GLASS!!! How did I manage to become such a big fan when I originally hailed Reina as my favourite? I do not have the foggiest. Seriously! That, my friends, is lost in the mists of time – unless I can find some ‘crack’ to extract it. But what I do know is that I like Risa 1 million billion trillion gazillion times more than I ever liked Reina! (sorry Reina)

Risa just has this ability to make me smile all the god damn time. If I’m having a boring or sad day and I’m in desperate need of cheering up, I just whack something on with her in and voila! instant happiness and smiles all round ^^ I can’t say there’s any other idol that has that kind of effect on me *thinks* nope…none. So this morning, after waking up and feeling a bit ‘indifferent’ (possible post holiday blues) I decided to use Gaki Power to cheer me up. I watched the Risa / Koharu / Aika ‘close up’ video of Pepper Keibu and I have to say, it certainly did the trick ^^ If you haven’t watched it, do so. I demand it!!! Then had to watch it again, frame by frame, to get screen caps (of course).

So if my little, non explanatory talk about it didn’t make you want to watch it, hopefully these will!
