I didn’t think I’d get round to this for a while seeing as I didn’t like the ‘feel’ of the DVD when I had a quick skip through each song the other night. I did, however, watch it so here is my song by song review :D

Please don’t use this review as something you’ll base a decision on – along with other reviews – in deciding whether to watch / download this concert. To be honest, I found the concert to be boring (blame my high expectations ever since Single Daizenshuu~) and I think this will be pretty evident throughout the whole post. Plus I had to skip a few songs because I couldn’t stand them / didn’t like who was performing. Sorry *scratches back of head*

Sono Bamen de Bibiccha Ikenai jan!

RAINCOATS!!! These outfits suck balls. Seriously, out of all the outfits in this concert these suck the……actually, no, there’s one two three outfits that suck just as much – if not worse. But I’ll get to them later. Okay, I’m going to be honest when I tell you this. I *deep breath* don’t know this song…FAIL! With that being said, I really enjoyed it and it was a good opening song for the concert. The only thing wrong with it (other than the outfits) was that the dance they did in the middle – where Risa is centre front – was a little bit…umm…weird @_@ I felt kinda awkward watching it for some strange reason. Other than that, it was great *thumbs up*

♥ 9 lovely ladies on stage randomly touching each others asses – It’s a wota’s wet dream (so that means it’s mine too) ^^

Mikan

Mikan has become a staple concert song and I can see why. It’s really good performed live and is great for getting the crowd worked up. After all, it’s no good starting a concert with slow, boring songs as you don’t want the Wota’s falling asleep (like they were in the Cinderella Musical lols). Many people don’t like this song but I do ^^ Nothing special about this though. No different arrangement or anything.

Pepper Keibu

The song I was looking forward to the most out of the whole concert. Pepper Keibu, oh how I love thee ♥ Ai pawned everyone that she sang with in the duos lolololol. It’s like, supposed to be Mittsi or Sayumi’s turn to lead and all you hear is Ai! I think the only one that equalled her was Risa as she out sang a few people too, and could be heard together with Ai during their ‘pepper keibu’ bits ^^ I really enjoyed this performance of the song. Thank God they changed outfits…

♥ They have a camera above the stage at this concert, and they used it a lot during this song. Pretty cool if I do say so myself. Also, I noticed that they focused on Ai and Risa a lot for the large screens. Suits me just fine ^^

VTR

For once I’m going to mention the VTR. Why? Because I really like the music they play during it. Anyone know what it is?

TOP

I was looking forward to this song for one reason – Eri’s solo dance. I have to say though, I found it a bit disappointing. Gordoカバ said that in the first few concerts the dance was a lot longer, but something went wrong so they shortened it (maybe she hurt herself whilst doing the splits or something. Ooh…Eri doing the splits *drool*). Sadly I think that Captain Saki’s dance on the Berryz Nyoki Nyoki Champion! Tour was a lot better. I also think they should’ve given this opportunity to Ai-chan. I know that everyone already knows what Ai is capable of, but this made Eri look kinda…pants (trying to use a kinder word than shit). Other than that it’s just same old same old. I can’t big it up in any way, shape or form.

Yah! Ashitai

Urgh! I don’t like this song. WTF is up with Risa and Reina’s ‘baby baby baby’s’? I don’t get that at all. I’m starting to get bored with this concert about now. Oh well…moving on.

Inspiration

The opening dance part to this song is incredibly sexy then…incredibly random… o_O Even so, it woke me up out of the brief slumber I was in. Nothing special about this song until; Ai and Risa start to sexually pleasure each other!!!

O_O Hawt diggidy dawg! I think that was the only good thing about the song *facepalm*

Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii jan

After getting all hot under the collar from the TakaGaki smex, they then follow up with this song… *rolls eyes* Nothing new with the song, or the dance. Why am I getting frustrated? Oh, because we’re back to the same old, same old AGAIN!!!

Purple Wind (Takahashi, Niigaki, Kusumi, Aika, JunJun, LinLin)

Hmm…I don’t like this song, but I DO like the smexy solo dances that the girls get during it. Especially Risa’s. It seriously needs to be gif’d. Other than that I have nothing more to say on this song. Wow…this review is not going too well…

Lemon Iro to Milk Tea (Kamei, Michishige, Tanaka)

Apart from the fact that their outfits are atrocious, I really enjoyed this threesomes performance. The one included during the main concert part of the disc is the Reina lead. With both Eri and Sayumi’s leads included as extras. Out of the three of them I prefer Reina’s with, get this, Sayumi’s coming second (how the hell)? I think this is because Reina’s really good at the random facial expressions whilst singing, and her voice is pretty up to scratch too. As for why Sayumi beat Eri. Well…Eri seems to be doing something weird with her voice recently and I’m not a fan of it. I don’t know what you would call it, but I think she’d be able to reproduce a very good sheep’s ‘baaaaaaa~’ with what she’s doing. Also, Sayumi sang this song amazingly well. Like, AMAZINGLY!!! I didn’t like her version of Furusato on Singles Daizenshuu~ but this one was leaps and bounds better. I may have to rip this!!!

Tan Tan Taan! (Milky Way)

I’m need to apologise now as after the opening lines of this song, I decided I couldn’t subject my ears to this anymore. I took a quick screen cap and skipped it. But from what I did hear – gah damn, their singing is really bad. I don’t like the song in anycase. Antaboshi is so much better! Also, Sayaka had her abs covered up. Boo~!

Watashi no Miryoku ni Kidukanai Donkan na Hito (Aika)

I have a total dislike to Jaws…uhh…I mean Aika, so SKIPPED (no love lost).

Guru Guru Jump (Koharu, Jun Jun, Lin Lin)

Oh my god this song was awful. I’m sorry to say this but Jun Jun is a pretty poor singer. Not like Sayumi poor, she just seems to lack projection. Also…what was that echo crap that they put over Lin Lin’s voice? It made her sound so out of tune :O
Just after the echo part I skipped this song. That’s three in a row. Will it be four?

♥ This song should sound better on the album after all the technological jiggery that they’ll do to it. I hope…

Mushoku Toumei na Mama de (Takahashi) / Indigo Blue Love (Niigaki)

It’s Ai-chan’s performance on the main part of the DVD with Risa’s as an extra. You know those other sucky outfits I mentioned earlier on in this post? Well…these are two are them! I understand that they are both wearing two more outfits under these but dang, talk about disgusting dresses. Ai looks like she belongs in some low budget horror film. Heck! It actually reminds me a bit of the vampire fancy dress that Lindsey Lohan wears in Mean Girls XD And Risa looks like she’s wearing a pair of curtains stolen from a National Trust house. Really REALLY bad!!! As for the songs, they’re both ok, but both boring. Even if the outfits were better, I’d more than likely would skip them on future viewings. This is disappointing.

Take off is now! (Takahashi, Niigaki, Tanaka)

I’m totally in love with this song at the moment ♥ Out of personal preference I would have liked it more if Eri replaced Reina (although this might’ve been an unwise decision what with Eri’s recent baa-ing epidemic) but alas, I can’t have it all. Ai totally owned the whole dance, and she can pull off a body roll really really well *drool* Risa isn’t far behind with her ability to pull of sexy dance moves (boobie shake anyone?) Reina on the other hand looked really awkward in places, which is another reason why I think Eri would’ve been a better choice. My three whipping bitches in one sexy song. Can anyone say death?

Dou ni mo Tomaranai

Seishun Jidai was performed during the evening concerts, but was not included on the DVD at all. This is a real pity as it’s one of my favourite songs from the Cover You album. Where as Dou ni mo Tomaranai is one of my least favourite. They performed this really well though, and seemed to be enjoying it a lot. Plus! Who can dislike the dancing they do during the two ‘breakdowns’? (one in the middle, one at the end) I certainly cant!!!

Koi no Dial 6700

Another one of my favourite songs from the Cover You album. I even have my own PV idea for this song (yes, I know I’m lame). The whole way that Lin Lin played on the ‘rin rin’ parts was great, although sometimes she looked a bit too excited about it. Psychopath much? Every single member seemed to thoroughly enjoy performing this song, and Risa really got in to the whole thing. At one point I thought she was going to fall over as her dancing was well…crazy >_< I’ll no doubt watch this performance over and over again ♥

♥ I like how they all spelt 6700 with their bodies during one part of the song. Really nifty idea ^^

MC – Takahashi, Niigaki

I have to give an honourable mention to this MC for one reason, and one reason alone – SWEAT!!! I think they should bottle Ai’s sweat and sell it. Would be awesome, if not a tad bit gross. I’d buy some though ^^

Souda We’re Alive

Ai and Risa didn’t even get a chance to wipe themselves down before this song. Bless :3 I love the intro in to this, where they’re doing military style marching. It makes a nice change. All I’ll say though is that we’re entering in to the ’same old same old’ territory again. I really don’t have much to say about this and the next four songs.

Onna ni Sachi Are

I really like this song and they didn’t disappoint here. Nothing different about it, but with this one I don’t feel you can go wrong.

Roman ~ My Dear Boy ~

Again, this is the same affair as normal. I can deal with it for this song too as it’s pretty upbeat and such. I’m not a big fan of this song though. But it is a crowd pleaser.

Koko ni Iruzee

I liked the extra crowd interaction part they added to this. HAI HAI HAIHAIHAI! I’m kinda wondering what Ai did to Eri to make her jump / seem shocked at one point during the song. They continue to sing, and just exchange some nods and smiles, although Ai looks really sorry about whatever she’s done >_<

♥ Risa’s ‘waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa atsui ne’ after the song was funny. I can understand why she’s hot as her and Ai STILL haven’t had the chance to dry themselves off. Imagine all the Ai sweat flying round *dead*

Resonant Blue

You know, I really love this song but everytime I see it I’m reminded of how most of the group was shafted. Though they do all seem to enjoy performing it, even if they don’t get to sing much. Maybe it’s kinda nice to be able to step back for a song. I don’t know.

Ame no Furanai

Here is the last of the god awful outfits. Why the fuck are they dressed like freaking nuns? Are they trying to accentuate on their supposed virginity? This song just irks me off, big time! I’ll admit that it’s a beautiful song, and it’s really nice that Jun Jun and Lin Lin get to sing some Chinese. But gah damn, I’ve heard it so much in so little time that it’s really annoying. More annoying than Berryz Kobo singing Special Generation at every concert (apart from their last), because the thing is…I DON’T GET TIRED OF SPECIAL GENERATION!!! Woo~ calm down Lolli. Please, for the love of God, Tsunku – stop getting them to sing this song. At least for a while.

Then we get to the final song and yee haw~ I love this song ♥ I like the fact that they are ALWAYS so happy when singing it, and also the dance is really good for glow sticks ^^ I’m not too sure about the boots though. I get some medieval suit of armour feel from them. Ooh…Morning Musume in armour. Interesting! This is the final song and even though I’m enjoying it, I have to say that I’m happy that the concert has come to an end. At least it ended on a high note which briefly pushed all the lows to the back of my mind. Briefly <_<
