If I’m correct there’s two Hello! Project girls who have a keen love for video games – Yaguchi Mari and Takahashi Ai – but whereas Mari likes most games, Ai’s love seems to mainly involve the Final Fantasy franchise. She’s mentioned a number of times that she loves the games – her favourite is Final Fantasy X – so it’s no surprise that with the release of Final Fantasy XIII Ai-chan has been featured in some interviews about it. One of those interviews is here:

I have absolutely no idea what it says but the photos included with it are pretty darn hot if you ask me, so for ease of use here they are for everyone in all their full size glory ^^

♥♥♥
I don’t know about anyone else, but these photo’s of Ai has made me interested in the game. So much so that I’ve just pre-ordered it!
What?… <_<

“these photo’s of Ai has made me interested in the game.”
/commencing engagement of chanponchan in long conversations about FINAL FANTASY!
I really adore the franchise… I can’t say I approve of Ai-chan’s favourite though and I’m not so interested in “XIII” on the PS3 as I am in “Final Fantasy AGITO XIII” on the PSP!
Nonetheless, “VI” on the Super Nintendo remains the best!
/end overlong franchise squee.
haha I seriously cant wait for the game either, it will be epic!! I would get the Japanese version but i want to understand everything going on in it. But the downside is some neat japanese music will be replaced by english songs = =”
@sonofgodzilla -The only Final Fantasy game I’ve played (but did not complete) happened to be Ai-chan’s favourite – Final Fantasy X. I was really engrossed in the game but ended up selling my PS2 before I could complete it…sadly. I’ve ordered XIII for the Xbox 360 as I don’t own (and have no desire to own) a PS3 and I don’t have a PSP either <_< I will look up this AGITO though, as if it looks good I can always borrow my nephews PSP for an extended period of time lol.
You should buy XIII as well, if only to help me out when I get stuck. Also…you might learn to like it so we can gush (lol) about the game to each other. Oh…we can gush (lol) about Ai-chan at the same time XD
@TerryXX – I was tempted to find and order the Japanese version too, but only because I can’t be bothered to wait until March for the UK version. Mind you, I don’t actually know if it’s been released on the Xbox 360 in Japan, it might just be on the PS3.
[...] Ai-chan’s Final Fantasy Lub (Lolli’s Love Lunch) [...]
I so, so want to take you up on your joint play-through idea… but I don’t have a 360 or a PS3 (like you, I don’t really have any intention of getting one… although that “Dynasty Warriors/Gundam” game looks fun!) but if you need someone to obsessively level up for you and be other enthusiastic about cut scenes then I’M YOUR MAN!
Seriously!
Next stop: we’ll have to win you over to “Kingdom Hearts”! (^_^)
Aww man…what consoles do you have? It looks like I’ll have to play this bugger on my own, with a walk through guide by my side of course lololol. Oh god I hate levelling up! I’m stuck on Tales of Vesperia at the minute because my group isn’t strong enough to kill some douche bag wolves on steroids <_< I'll get there eventually but I find wandering around a field map fighting random weak monsters really boring. Plus it makes no sense that all the monsters up until this point are no match for me, then these bastards are like Level 99…ish! What's that all about?
I did play the first Kingdom Hearts but like with most games I didn't complete it <_< Is it asking too much for me to have some infinite HP and TP (or the variants of them) cheats? That's all I want dammit! Bah…I'm actually just not that good at games, just like to get sucked in to the story and characters.
*puts hand on heart and bows head* Dear Lord (aka Ai-chan) – I promise to try my hardest to complete Final Fantasy XIII as I know that you will complete it fully and I'll will be letting you down if I don't. Amen!
LOLOLOLOL! I admire your dedication to the cause. I must guiltily admit however that I love levelling up. Seriously. I’ve been replaying “Final Fantasy IX” and I’m just spending weeks mindless pottering about on a small island killing Grand Dragons. My work has allowed me to excel at endless, mindless tasks.
I am jealous of you though. I keep telling myself that “XIII” isn’t *my* kind of “FF” game but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see it in action.
We’ve got a lot of consoles kicking about between us but nothing modern as my heart belongs to an age of gaming that no longer exists. I am really hoping to get a PSP next year though!
Ai-chan’s my master so I can’t let her down! Plus if I finish the game completely I’ll be able to write her a letter telling her of my achievement, and how I did it all because of her ♥ Just a pity that Japan gets the game in 5 days but the rest of the world has to wait until March! >:/
Not your kind of FF game? I thought they were all pretty much the same? Go round some random world completing tasks and killing monsters whilst occasionally (or more often then not) watching cut scenes which develop the characters and make you get well and truely sucked in to the game. Or something like that… o_O
Do you have an NES? Commodore 64? I wasn’t that lucky T_T My sisters and I had an MSX, then the next console we got was a Mega Drive. POWER UP!
“I’ll be able to write her a letter telling her of my achievement, and how I did it all because of her”
Awwww, that’s so sweet! ^^
“Just a pity that Japan gets the game in 5 days but the rest of the world has to wait until March! >:/”
You could always order the Japanese edition… and a can of ELIXIR too! (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-lx-49-en-70-3k9s.html).
“I thought they were all pretty much the same?”
OUCH!
…
Yes, you could say that, but there are elements in the game franchise that are very different. Post “V”, when Nomura Tetsuya started exerting influence on the series is very different to earlier games helmed by Sakaguchi Hironobu. Good games have appeared in both eras, but the current slew of Normura-centric titles haven’t been *as* good, IMHO. “VI” is a perfect balance, “X” is just all out of sync.
“Do you have an NES? Commodore 64?”
Yes, and no ~ but I do have an Amiga! (^_^)
The MSX is ace, you should be proud – it’s the original home of “Metal Gear”!.
It’s probably more creepy then sweet. I was thinking of adding “In this one dream I had you raped me. Although it wasn’t rape really, I was just incredibly drunk so didn’t really know what was going on apart from it was good. Ai-chan…rape me kudasai!” Do you think that’s going a bit too far?…
I would buy it from Japan if they actually released it on the 360. They’ve released other titles on that system so I don’t know why they’re not releasing this one too, dammit <_< I wanted to order some of that Elixir as well but I won't buy it on it's own T_T Random question – Do you think the character on the first can http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-01-77-3-49-en-85-1-70-3k9s.html looks like Mari Yaguchi? When I saw the HUGE billboard for this game in L.A I thought it looked like her everytime I walked past it.
Wow, your FF geek-ness has shown itself! I envy you as you could probably have some epic chats about the game with Ai-chan… In my case I have absolutely no idea about what you've said as I've only played 'X'. My nephew played 'X-2' but I don't think he enjoyed it that much. Gah…I wish I knew stuff about games like this. The only things I have a pretty decent knowledge base about is Hello! Project and my job. I'm just not geeky enough!
My friend had an Amiga but I didn't play on it much. She had pretty shit games though so that was why. My sister always reminisces about playing Chucky Egg on the MSX which I vaguely remember. We lost the cable for the tape deck though so I never got to play on the thing. We did have this book with codes to write you own programming for INCREDIBLY basic games. I remember being off school once so thought I'd try one of these programmes. I spent hours typing all in only for me to have cocked up somewhere and it didn't work. I think I threw the book in fever fuelled rage ^^;
