Firstly, I want to apologise for my lack of updates. I’m kinda in another world at the minute (I’m not talking about Final Fantasy just yet) because I so desperately want to apply for the Risa, Eri and Lin Lin Morning Days Tour but all the rigmarole that goes into it is proving kinda frustrating. I’m not sleeping well because I’m so anxious about it all and this is not going to halt any time soon, even if I do manage to get my application in on time. Why? Because the places are given out on a lottery system so there’s a chance that I won’t win a place even though I’ve applied and all *sigh* Poor zorrander is having to put up with my “what’s happening?” PM’s which probably isn’t helping him as he’s in the same boat as me so hopefully soon we’ll have something sorted out.
Anyway…on to the main point of this post which is…
MY COPY OF FINAL FANTASY XIII CAME TODAY!!!
I’ll now be investing as much time as I possibly can in to completing this game – which will no doubt mean even fewer blog updates – and I’m not going to give up until I’ve done so! The thing is, even though I really enjoy playing RPG’s I kinda suck at them / get easily irritated with them so to help me overcome this problem I also bought the official strategy guide. Mind you…I couldn’t just buy any version, oh no! I had to buy the Limited Edition hardback version (^_^)

I’m doing my best to pump the hours into it as well, I gotta beat it and a couple other games before I go to Japan in four weeks ^^.
For me this results in less sleep, as I’ll be staying up later than I’d like to, so I’ll be quite tired at work…doesn’t help that we’re super busy and working Saturdays!
I was gonna get the Limited Edition guide as well, but they were sold out so I settled with the normal one.
When you say complete do you mean just finishing the game or doing everything like collecting all the items, filling up the bestiary and doing all the side quests too? Either way I wish you good luck and I don’t envy you for trying to get that all done in four weeks. You’re over in Japan for a long stay right? If so I can see why you’d want to do it.
The Limited Edition guide is pretty sexy and because of this I’m being really particular about not marking it. As such this means I’m the only one allowed to touch it (>_<) Do you have a PSP? I’m really in to Final Fantasy Dissidia at the moment so I’m kinda looking for other people to play against lol (thinking of if we meet in Japan).
Lolli you are da man! XD Not in the weird sense. I mean it in a good way :D I can’t believe you bought the limited edition of the guide just cuz Ai held one in a hands. Too bad you didn’t get that copy huh? How far are you into the game as of now?
I only mean finishing the game. Depending on how much I like the game (which is quite a bit as of now) I would try collecting everything and do side quests, but for now I’ll be fine with finishing the story.
I’ll be in Japan for about a month, so I would probably forget the story, how to play and what not, by the time I got back.
I do have a PSP, but don’t really play it. I tried to demo for Dissidia though, haha.
Oh, and if we do meet up in Japan, and I happen to get a Risa card from 10 My Me, and you get a Reina card, lets trade! lol.
@Hammy – I think Ai’s just holding a copy of the walkthrough guide but I pimped it as being the LE because it’s similar in colour and in the UK the RE has Lightning on the front lol. If I had the copy she’s holding I would be over the moon although it wouldn’t help me much with the game as I can’t read Japanese (>_< ) So far I'm only near the end of the 3rd chapter but I've not been playing it much as I'm currently splitting my free / non internet time between it and Final Fantasy Dissidia. I feel that I need to put at least an hour in to it everytime I turn it on so I'm very limited for when I can do that *sigh*
ReiNa.than – Ahh cool, you’ll have to let me know how you get on. I was gonna ask if I can add you as a friend then I remembered that you’ve got a PS3 not an Xbox *facepalm*
Oh god do I know what you mean about forgetting the controls and what not of a game! When I had a Wii I was really into Twilight Princess but after getting stuck I gave up on it for about 6 months. When I went back to it I couldn’t remember how to change weapons or lock on to targets etc so I gave up on it completely lol. As I don’t want this to happen with Final Fantasy I’ll have to make sure I don’t leave too much time between each play!
One of my friends on Twitter got a PSP and Dissidia for Christmas and has talked about it all the time since. It’s his fault I bought a PSP and a copy of the game but I have to say I can totally see why he was fanguying over it all the time as it’s ace! If you ever have a bit of spare cash and want a new PSP game then I can totally, 100% recommend Dissidia. Well worth the money.
If I get a Reina card then that’s a deal!!! Knowing my luck though I’ll probably get Aika’s… (<_<)
