Happy 21st My One – My Only – My Idol

Right now in Japan, it’s the birthday of my ultimate favourite idol -

Gaki5463

♥ Risa Niigaki ♥

This year Risa turns 21 which is the age of adulthood in the UK, and even though this will make no odds of difference to Risa or anyone else, it does to me. Because of this I decided to buy her some presents to make her aware that she’s now considered an adult in a different part of the world, and to show her that she has a huge (very obsessive) fan from the UK. I not 100% sure but I think this means I’m hitting / have hit the realms of ‘high international wota’, or maybe this just makes me really sad. Either way this is the first time in a long time that I’ve actually enjoyed thinking about what I can buy someone as a gift, and it’s also the first time I went shopping on my own in the UK – Risa popped my cherry in that department! GETS!

Now I’m not one for birthdays, in fact a standard practise of mine is to only remember someone’s birthday on the actual day and that only happens because there’s usually lots of cards up on the mantelpiece in my front room lol. I have eight close family members and so far this year seven of them have had birthdays – out of those seven I’ve only bought a card and a present for one of them!!! @_@ Yep…birthdays and I (even other occasions) do not go together and I don’t even particularly care about my own!!! Risa’s, on the other hand, is a totally different ball game. Last year was the first birthday of hers which I experienced since becoming a fan and I was lucky enough to celebrate it with Shirow in London (please read if you have time to waste ^^). I think that because of this I actually feel the strong need to celebrate her birthday in some way, but unfortunately this time there won’t be any cool shopping experiences as I have a company course to attend *boo* I did buy a generic cake though, which isn’t quite the same but will just have to do *sigh*

If anyone is curious as to what I bought her, here’s some photos -

Thornton’s European chocolate selection, English Pocky and a 21st teddy bear

(plus glittery gift bag and of course…a card)

Silver ID bracelet which I had engraved especially. It says G . A . K . I on the front, and ☆ サブリーダー ☆ on the back.

♥♥♥

I have a feeling the ID bracelet will get returned to me so I thought I’d have it engraved in a way so that I can wear it if needs be lol. I sent the parcel out buy recorded delivery today (20th), so someone at UFA will have to sign for it when it gets there. So all I have left to worry about is

① I sent it to the right address

② They pass the gifts on to her

I just hope she enjoys them, especially the chocolates as I had to stop myself from devouring the pack – NOM NOM. Sadly, I’ve actually already bought her a Christmas present… Nothing amazing, but I think she might like it. Gah, I really need a life…maybe… >_< Anyway…

I wish Risa all the best on her birthday, and hope she got everything she desired – including Ai-chan in a birthday suit *nosebleed*

(cake photo will be up tomorrow)

I suppose some would consider it strange that this blog post isn’t spammed with how flipping great I think the girl is, but if you know me by now then you’d know I think like that pretty much 365 days a year, thus don’t feel the need to proclaim it on her birthday. If you don’t know me well enough to know that already, please read some more of my blog ^^

Ai-chan 23rd Birthday Message

Whilst gordokaba, zorrander and I were waiting to be fed at the Ai & Risa Dinner Show, two Japanese guys came to our table and spoke to us (in broken English) about an Ai-chan 23rd birthday message site that they had going. They asked us to submit some messages for her, and gave us a slip with the website details on. Today I decided I would finally do this, although my message is in English as if I translated it I can guarantee it would make no sense.

Here’s the message I left -

♥ Happy 23rd Birthday Ai-chan ♥

Hope you had a great day and got everything you wished for. You 100% deserve it.

Thank you for the amazing Dinner Show, you made my 20 hours of travel from the UK mean something. I drank too many 愛LAND Risa’s though (*^_^*) but they tasted good. The Nanchatte Renai release events in Yokohama were also very special, and I’m glad I got to met you all again before returning home.

Please continue leading Morning Musume the way you are, you’re doing a fantastic job. Current Morning Musume are the best!

It could’ve been a lot better, but I didn’t want to write a whole heap of stuff in English as the poor girl would have to try and make sense of it all. Now I just have to hope that my message gets approved by the site managers, and that Ai-chan herself reads it.

*fingers crossed*

Risa’s Birthday – Pre Post

Photobucket

OK! OK! I know I’m late in writing some kind of post for Risa’s birthday, but that’s because I was up in London Wota-ing it up with fellow Wotaku and H!Oer Shirow ^^

Now, it was never my intention to be away for Risa’s birthday but I had already booked my work holidays back in February, wayyy before I was a Risa fan (when I was still a Reina fan *facepalm*). It wasn’t until myself and Shirow decided we’d meet up that I went:

‘BLOW ME DOWN! I HAS RISA’S BIRTHDAY AS A HOLIDAY!!! YEE HAW~’

So as soon as this was duly noted, I made doubly sure we we’re in London on that day. Heh Heh!

So…tomorrow / today (it’s early morning already) I’m gonna post about what I did on the ‘Green Goddesses’ birthday, and there may even be pics – oh yes!!!

Please to be reading when it’s up ^^

1000 bonus points for whoever knows the ‘green goddess’ reference. No googling please!

(BTW – It’s has no relation to Risa – in any way)
