Abstinence…

…was never a word in my vocabulary. It is now! <_<

I’ve realised that over the past few months I’ve been spending WAY too much money on Morning Musume / Niigaki Risa items and have made the tough decision that I have to cut back. Especially as I plan to get my own place very shortly and wish to return to Japan for two weeks in October. Although I want to see some immediate effects which cutting back won’t produce so I have told myself that I am NOT allowed to purchase any items in February (possibly March too) and then I have to cut back! It’s like a sponsored fast, without the sponsorship… Can I do it? I hope so.

This doesn’t mean there won’t be any new GETS! posts for a while because I do have a butt load of stuff that I’ve paid for but am currently waiting on. Stuff like my personalised Koharu graduation panel (which I still don’t know if I’ve won yet), New Year BLT book, various items from the H!P store / FC store (can’t remember what I bought) and all editions of Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai. Once the majority of these items arrive I will take photos and show them off but until then I have to try my hardest not to click ‘BUY’ on anything else. It’s going to be painful and if I struggle at any point I will blog about it. Wish me luck!!!

I’ve been a bit internet shy the past few days, even though I have some draft posts on the go, and a Wota friend who I haven’t chatted to in a while. I think this is partly because there seems to be nothing much going on in the world of Niigaki Risa / Morning Musume at the minute, and partly because I have a new buddy who’s taking over a large chunk of my life.

So as I have nothing of idol interest to talk about, let me introduce you to my new best friend :3

ARWEN!

It may come as a bit of a shock to a handful of you, but no…she doesn’t have a Hello! Project related name. Believe me when I say, the Wota in me really wanted to give her a idol name, what with the fact that she’s female and H!P consumes a large amount of my life. But when I thought about it properly, I realised that it probably wasn’t a good thing to do because of two reasons;

1 – I would end up associating whichever member whose name I used, as a dog (or something o_O)
2 – As Shirow pointed out, if I named her after one of my crushes it will more than likely end up spoiling my pervy thoughts / dreams (boy I’m glad I have a guy like you around!!!)

In the end, after arguing the fact that Lucy is a shit name (bless my mum), we settled on a book / film characters name. So if you didn’t already know, Arwen is the name of an Elf in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. You know…the one that Liv Tyler plays in the films *winkwink*

But if you didn’t know, Arwen is actually a Welsh name. Although I’m not totally sure if that makes it better or worse >_<

Anyway…that’s just a little insight into the current status of my life. Once I’ve got this whole house training malarkey down, I’ll be able to get back to the immense pile of H!P downloads that are waiting for me on my hard drive. Then I’ll hopefully get the blogging bug and spam this place with something that’s worth reading ^^
