It pains me to say this but...

…I would like to announce that I’ll be attending the Hangry and Angry concert in Camden, London on the 27th May. Originally I wasn’t going to be there as I thought it was on a weekend (I work weekends) but after finding out that it’s to be held on a Thursday I decided to bite the bullet and book a ticket. Now, lets get something straight from the start, I’m most definitely not going for Hangry and Angry…oh no! I have absolutely no love for either of the girls and to be perfectly honest I dislike Yossie although please don’t ask me why as I can’t quite put my finger on the cause of this. The main reason why I’m going is purely to meet up with a load of Hello! Project fans – in particular Shirow, ginaRAWR and markRAWR – and to have a good time in London. I’ll only be staying for one night but I’m sure there’s plenty of fun to be had in that time (^_^)

With any luck I would’ve not long been back from a 2 week trip to Japan so I might have a few free goodies to hand out. I’ll be there in a Risa t-shirt (not sure which one yet) so if any of my readers is attending this event please come and say hi to me.. At the same time if I’ve ever written something that’s pissed you off in anyway I do ask that you refrain from punching / slapping me upside the head – verbal abuse is acceptable though lol. Other than that I’ll see you all there, if you’re going!

Oh and before anyone asks, yes I did purchase the most recent H&A album (Sadistic Dance?) but only because amazon.co.uk were selling it for £7.49 and I thought it’d be really hilarious if it charted in the British Album Charts lol. It didn’t so I’m now stuck with a fail album – Top Secret is an okay track though.

Yomiuri Land East 「Concert」

*warning – post will mainly feature Risa, Ai and Sayumi caps*

So here’s my review of the incredibly epic and truly amazing Yomiuri Land East Coupling concert. I wrote this post ‘on the fly’ and as it’s the first time I’ve done something like this I hope it turns out okay. What do I mean by ‘on the fly’? Well I mean I’m popping my Yomiuri Land East cherry right here, right now by watching each song…twice – once to experience it then once again to screen cap it – and after having my dirty way with them (or maybe it’s the other way round) I’m pausing the concert to write up my thoughts and feelings on what I’ve just experienced. That’s dedication right?

Before I even start my song by song review I want to say that Eri’s hair colour does not go well with her red t-shirt and brown waistcoat! In fact the waist coat is an immediate wardrobe malfunction from the off only heightened ten fold by her hair. Urgh…ME DON’T LIKE! Because of this I won’t be including many screen caps of Eri in my post. Sorry…

Let’s a go!

Yomiuri Land East 「Opening Talk」

The Yomiuri Land EAST concert was a special show that Morning Musume put on for the release of their Coupling Collection 3 Disc Set. It was held in in the open air theatre EAST in, not surprisingly, Yomiuri Land which is an amusement park near Tokyo.

snapshot20100123011955

The general gist of the talk segment – which lasts for the first 20 minutes of the DVD – is to count down the ‘Best 3′ Morning Musume coupling songs as voted for by the fans at the concert and Morning Musume themselves. Morning Musume were unaware of what the fans voted for so their reactions on the DVD are genuine. To start with they countdown from the 5th Best song. Once they get to the ‘Best 3′ they then compare the fans choices to their own. Oh yeah…Morning Musume were split in to 4 groups to pick their ‘Best 3′. Yep that’s right, there’s 9 members altogether and they got split in to 4 groups. How? Read on to find out as it’s quite funny.

As I can’t translate exactly what was said in the talk segment I will just supply you with screen caps and some trademark Lolli wit. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these though so I hope it’s enjoyable (and not too sexual)…

MM Yomuri Land East Preview

A preview of KoiING from the Yomuri Land East DVD is up on Dohhh UP! and is looking pretty darn good if you ask me.

Reina fluffed her first line which is quite uncharacteristic for her but then this is a ‘live’ concert so I doubt she’s gonna be the only one guilty of off key singing ^^; It’s also nice to see Koharu in something again. Okay…I know she’ll be in the Nine Smile Concert DVD but gah, just seeing her now made me get all teary eyed T_T

I’m hoping that this year Morning Musume will get to do more things like this. Maybe an open air concert with other Japanese artists as they must do things like that over there right?! Or they could come over to Glastonbury as I’m sure they’d go down a storm there! ^^

If you haven’t ordered the DVD – DO IT!!!

Koharu's Graduation Concert

Not long after touching down in Japan Krotch and I made our way to Harajuku to meet up with Alita so I could choose / buy my ticket for Koharu’s graduation concert. Because of the incredibly crappy exchange rate (recession sucks) I only had ¥135,000 in my pocket instead of the ¥150,000 I was expecting to have and after looking over all the tickets available for some time I’d decided on 5th row, middle / right side seat for ¥120,000. That was until Alita and Krotch pointed out a 3rd row middle / left side seat for the same price. After having this brought to my attention I snapped it up pretty fast, even with the shop owner repeatedly checking that I want to spend that much on a ticket and soon found out that I had seat number 20 which was over to the left of the stage. Semi satisfied with my purchase the only things I had left to worry about was ① I’d misplace my ticket before the concert and ② I’d get some incredibly tall, or incredibly wide Japanese guys stood in front of me which would make it hard to see even though I was only 3 rows back from the stage… After continuously fretting over not being able to see properly I was pleasantly (understatement) surprised once I got to my seat!

Nine Smile Sign

Krotch and I meet up with Bex Bissell and TerryXX at the concert venue before we all walked into the hall together to find our seats. None of us were sat together so I preceded to make my way down to the front of the venue before being unceremoniously and forcefully yanked backwards by my backpack!!! <_< Mr Japanese Usher Guy was not happy that I was making my way down to the realms of the epic seats so I had to show him my ticket to prove I wasn’t trying to get something I wasn’t entitled too. After seeing my 3rd row ticket he told me to continue. Yeah…in your face wanker! Making my way further down to the front I got a bit confused with what I was looking for and stood in a daze for a brief moment. When I eventually snapped out of it I realised the reason for my confusion was because 3rd row was in fact 1st row because of the camera set-up. Here’s how it worked; 1st row seats had been removed so that they could install a track for a dolly and camera, plus have space for 4 other cameras on tri-pods. 2nd row seats had been covered so nobody could get in the camera / camera operators way or trip over the cables. Doing this meant there was a barrier of seats between the wota and the stage and thus 3rd row was now bumped to 1st row (or front row if you want to look at it like that). This meant I had front row…
