I just want to say that I’m really REALLY sorry for not updating my blog recently and for not posting my Morning Days Tour / Japan experiences and a full Hangry & Angry in London report. Now the Japan Expo is out of the way I will try my utmost best to start on them although I’ll probably work backwards as the J.E is still (semi) fresh in my mind. I’m not going to give any kind of time frame for me doing this though because at the minute I’m seriously lacking the sleep needed to write any kind of blog post worth reading. I just hope I don’t take too long and that it’s all worth it in the end.
BTW – The person in the Risa Nine Smile t-shirt doing the ‘peace’ sign between Aika and Reina is none other than the one, the only…ME!!!
As you are all no doubt aware, Morning Musume announced that they will be Guests of Honour at the Japan Expo in Paris during July.
The actual announcement was made by Sayumi during the opening MC at the two final Pika Pika concerts in Nakano, Tokyo and as I was in Japan at the time – and would be for another week and a half – it resulted in me flapping about for the following week in an attempt to get all the information I needed about the expo, time off of work and the required tickets for me to attend it. After 4 international phone calls (my friend is ace), rushed PM’s to La’aKea on H!O, a drive in to work whilst I was still technically on holiday (I was back in the UK by this point) and 3 more phone calls to my boss I’ve managed to secure my place at Morning Musume and Hello! Projects first event in Europe! Phew (>_<)
None of this would’ve been possible without the awesomeness that is La’aKea so all the credit needs to go to her. I know she keeps telling me not to worry but seriously, there’s not many people I know who would be willing to spend €164 of their own money securing a ticket and expo pass for someone they’ve never met . So thanks to her I’m lucky enough to have one of the Morning Musume Premium packs and a 4 day convention pass. For anyone who doesn’t know the pack contains:
♥ A Poster
♥ A T-Shirt
♥ 10 Badges
♥ A Set of 3 Collector CD’s
♥ A Priority Ticket for the Concert
I will be in Paris between the 30th June and 5th July as I’m hoping to both greet Morning Musume at the airport when they arrive and wave goodbye to them at the airport when they leave. At the moment I only have a place to stay between the 1st and 3rd of July (also thanks to La’aKea and her friend) so I really need to find cheap accommodation for the nights of the 30th June and 4th July. If anyone reading this is staying near the Charles de Gaulle airport and has a spare bed and wants to put me up for either of those nights (or both) let me know. Once again, La’aKea has helped me out with this. I’m seriously in her debt!!!
As I’m not really interested anything that the Expo has to offer outside of Morning Musume I’ll probably be looking to do some sightseeing around the Paris area whilst I’m there. So far a few of us have our hearts set on Disneyland (a must as a Risa fan) and I’ll probably try to check out the smaller, non orange version of Tokyo Tower. So what else is there to do / see? France has never really been on my list of ‘places to visit’ so I don’t have any real clue as to what’s there apart from what I’ve seen in films. I still have plenty of time to make some firm decisions but if any of my readers are also attending this event and would like to meet up, give me a shout and we’ll sort something out. I’ll no doubt be incredibly generous and bring some Hello! Project items with me to give away as freebies – yes, that is the type of person I am – so if you’re not sure whether you really want to meet me or not, that could prove to be an incentive. As for how to spot me? Well I’m thinking about getting an OMAME.CO.UK t-shirts made up as a bit of self promotion so look out for that. Oh…and I’ll also be wearing a Stitch costume (^_^)
The first CM for Morning Musume’s upcoming stage play ‘Fashionable’ has been released and doesn’t really contain much insight to us non Japanese speaking fans, but does look rather pretty ♥
♥♥♥
Ai and Risa have solo shots whereas the rest of the members were paired up so can we assume that they have the lead roles? I’d definitely like it if that were the case (^_^)
♥ Lin Lin ♥ *drool*
C-ute’s Saki will be a nice addition to the play as I’d rather have her then some random Egg that I neither know nor care to know about. Although with that being said I don’t have much any interest in C-ute but meh…I’m still happy with that. As for the other two people…I’ll have to look them up as I know nothing about them *hangs head in potential shame*
♥♥♥
This is probably going to make me pretty lame but even though I have no interest in the subject matter and won’t have a bloody clue what’s going on, seeing this CM has made me kinda upset that I won’t get the chance to see this stage play live T_T I really need to put my ice cream van plan in to action!!!
EDIT: Just found out that there are some Eggs in this play *sigh* Mori Saki and Sano Kaori if anyone’s interested.
Morning Musume’s 29th DVD Magazine just so happens to be the first released since Koharu was booted out of the group and Risa cut her hair in retaliation (*Stanley Kowalski style* “Koharu…KOHARUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!”) Even though this ‘magazine’s’ awesomeness only lasts for a period of about 10 minutes – near the middle – it’s still pretty darn good. What’s it all about I hear you say? Well, the girls go to an disaster research centre where they take part in a very boring – although no doubt highly educational – quiz followed by actually getting to take the simulators for a whirl. The simulation activities they take part in are: magnitude 4 earthquake, magnitude 7 earthquake, smoke room and fire fighting with extinguishers. In the 1st part of a 2 part blog series I will focus on the educational quiz although as I consider it rather boring I’ve tried to spice it up a bit. When I say spice we’re talking bhut jolokiared savina here! (I toned it down) I can see this backfiring terribly on me for two reasons:
① A lot of people are NOT going to appreciate sexual Morning Musume slash.
② When I’m unfortunate enough to be caught in an earthquake or building fire in Japan I will wish I took note of the quiz. I can see it now… *earthquake starts* “Oh shit what do I do? What’s the telephone number I need to ring? Which fire extinguisher do I use? WHY DIDN’T I PAY ATTENTION TO MORNING MUSUME DVD MAGAZINE 29???”
Anyway…I’m still going to take an incredibly light-hearted approach to captioning the screen caps I’ve taken so if you want to be educated don’t proceed further. Oh…and if you really REALLY don’t like the girls being slashed and featured in anything remotely sexual you should definitely not proceed any further! Don’t say I didn’t warn you okay. Seriously!
BTW – Talking of Koharu, when I notice she’s not in the group anymore I do miss her but other than that I not even worried about her not being there. That just goes to prove that the group is fine without her, at least when it comes to things outside of concerts although I doubt they’re any different either.
